Simply Strategy, LLC, a marketing research and strategy consulting firm that combines focused market research and project management for Fortune 500s, mid-sized businesses, and non-profit organizations, announced today that it received certification as a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Missouri Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO).
The Missouri OEO determines the qualifications of firms for WBE certification through an examination process designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman or minority individual.
WBE certification provides greater opportunities for Simply Strategy and other acknowledged businesses for state contract procurement. The certification not only recognizes women-owned businesses but also encourages their development. With this certification, Simply Strategy can continue to grow as a leading WBE in the Greater St. Louis area.
“I appreciate the distinction and I hope all women business owners make the effort because there need to be more of us around,” said Dorothy Carlin, Founder and Principal Strategist at Simply Strategy, “I’m grateful for the Missouri Office of Equal Opportunity and Celeste Metcalf for advocating for women and minorities.”
This certification provides greater motivation for businesses to continue their commitment to fostering diversity in the workplace and beyond.
Led by Carlin, who met the strict professional and educational requirements to earn a Professional Research Certification in 2013, Simply Strategy’s nimble team of strategists, researchers, analysts, project managers, and creative thinkers has developed an extensive and varied client base, all focused on the shared purpose of helping organizations understand people to improve well-being. St. Louis Small Business Monthly named Dorothy a “Top Entrepreneur” in 2013 and the same publication named Simply Strategy one of St. Louis’ “Best in Marketing” in 2012 and again in 2014.
